VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTION Teach a 3 day lesson plan on suicide prevention to students in area high schools
Responsibilities: • Attend a 2 day training program to learn lesson plan content and methods • Teach the lesson plans in at least two area high school classes each semester • Attend volunteer meetings • Maintain records as specified in the lesson plans • Must be available to help in the training with new volunteers by sharing teaching experiences with them • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures
Qualifications: • 21 years of age or older • Experience in working with adolescents • Successful completion of the training program
Training and Supervision: Volunteers will be supervised and trained by professional staff of Jewish Family Service of New Orleans.
